USEFUL INFORMATION:

Food

agiskoYour cook can work wonders with the few things he might have, but it’s always good to have some Parmesan or some “speck” with you. Take with you the food you like but remember that altitude sometimes alters your tastes and the flavour of food. I suggest to have powdered proteins together with tea or milk in the morning. You’ll feel the lack of proteins in your muscles. Other interesting things are MALTODESTRINE, that can be melted in water. Also one-dose GEL are really useful, but don’t them for the first time during the expedition. I personally like AGISKO because they are well digestible. BARS can be eaten when you aren’t climbing. Referring to LIOFILIZZATI food, I personally don’t like them and prefer some grana cheese or a vegetable soup. Eat a lot at the BC because the altitude helps your methabolism. At high altitude you’ll feel a loss of appetite and liquid CARBOYDRATES are certainly easier to swallow.
